You may have already seen her on the website, social media, and on weddings days….Samantha has been a part of the team for a while now but I figured this was a great time for you to get to know her a bit more!
Simply put, Samantha Campbell is a rock star wedding planner! This girl is the yin to my yang, the peanut butter to my jelly and is such an integral part of the team. Okay Samantha, time to tell us a little about yourself!
What do you do in your free time ?
In my free time I love to workout. I use it as my hour of therapy each morning 🙂 I absolutely love watching all Real Housewives shows….I know I know, but it’s my guilty pleasure! I love to spend time with my boyfriend and his boys, too! We go to movies, play games and cook together…and by cook together, I mean he does the cooking and we do the eating 🙂
What do you love most about wedding planning ?
Wedding planning is such an amazing experience! You get to be a part of a couples most special day and this day is something that they will talk about for the rest of their lives. There are so many special moments throughout the process of wedding planning but seeing everything come together and making the couples vision and dream come to life is absolutely everything to me!
Tell us about one of the most memorable moments from a wedding you planned:
There are so many amazing moments I can think of but one that touched me deeply was during the wedding planning process, one of my bride’s mothers passed away. She had been ill and they thought she would make it until the wedding day but sadly she wasn’t able to. The strength my bride had on her special day was something I will never forget. As each of her bridesmaids walked down the aisle, they placed a rose where her mother would have sat. As my bride walked down and placed the final rose, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place but at the same time we felt as if she was there with her daughter in that very moment. It was truly amazing to see and feel. It is a moment I will cherish and remember forever.
Favorite wedding ring cut :
To be honest, right now I’m not into any specific ring cut that I love the most. I am really loving the diamond band look and layering it with a solitaire diamond…if I had to pick a cut for that solitaire diamond it would have to be an emerald or radiant.
Funniest wedding moment :
There have been so many funny moments because let’s be honest, at least one small thing has to go wrong during the wedding day 🙂 one of my most favorite would have to be a couple from Argentina who had been planning their wedding for over a year and finally when it was their wedding day everything was in place. The only thing the groom was in charge of was booking the transportation for the end of the night. He promised us he had it handled and all taken care of and he didn’t even want me to check on anything, he told me to trust him since it was the only thing he was in charge of, so I did! Then at the end of the night when the shuttle buses were suppose to arrive, they weren’t there. We waited another 5 minutes or so and then my groom checked his email and showed me the paperwork and I said, “Umm, that’s just a quote from the company, it’s not a completed booking paper.” Thanks to making a quick phone call to a friend of mine, transportation was there in no time and the party was able to continue on the strip. We all had a good laugh about it and I had to give the groom credit, he at least tried but next time I won’t be so trusting 🙂
Favorite flower :
It’s definitely a tie between peonies and calla lilies
